BBV (Balfour Beatty VINCI) uses Maturix at HS2

Construction site, walls being built

Balfour Beatty VINCI is responsible for designing and building part of the most exciting and challenging railway projects in Europe: HS2. They are building the West Midlands section of HS2’s Phase One route, spanning approximately 90km from Long Itchington in Warwickshire to the center of Birmingham and on to Handsacre in Staffordshire.

BBV uses Maturix to keep track of the strength and temperature inside the concrete so that they know exactly when to remove the formwork safely.

Watch the interview below with Rhys Calder, the Site Engineer on one of the sites, regarding how they use the system and how it helps them deliver the project.
