Maturix In-situ Tutorial
Onboarding steps
Welcome to Maturix In-situ
This guided onboarding will help you set up your first project and start monitoring concrete.
Do you have access to Maturix In-situ?
You should receive an invitation by email.
Let’s get you access
If you can’t find your invitation:
- New organization? Email [email protected]
- Already invited? Ask your admin to resend the invite
Invite more colleagues to join your organisation!
- Go to 'Organisation' tab
- Click on 'Add users to organisation'
- Simply put in the emails and select the role you want to assign them to.
Let's create your first project!
Step 1: Open the Project menu, and click on 'Add Project'
If this is your first time logging in, you should land on the Project page by default.
Step 2: Fill the pop-up box with correct information
- Project Name: Title of the project
- Project Tags: Add relevant tags (Optional)
- Project Description: Description of the project (Optional)
- Project Location: Write the address, enter GPS-coordinates, or click on the map
The location can't be changed after the project is created, so you will need to create a new project if you put in the wrong address.
Let's add users for your project!
This is for you to be able to receive alarms. Or if you have any external collaborators you want to add only for this project(so they do not have access to your whole organisation), you should also add them here!
Go to Users, and click on 'Add Users'. Simply put in the emails address and which roles you want to assign them to.
Click here to read more about user roles.
Are you calibrating your own concrete mix?
You can always add the calibration later if you're waiting for lab results or supplier information. Feel free to click Skip for now.
Let's input the calibration data into the platform
You can always add the calibration later if you're waiting for lab results or supplier information. Feel free to click Skip for now.
Step 1: Open the Concrete Database menu and click on “Add Concrete Mix”
Step 2: Fill out the pop-up box
- Enter the Concrete Name
- Choose the Maturity Function
- Add the strength–maturity relationship (see ASTM C1074) under Data Points
Step 3: Change the custom maturity function settings (Optional)
Let’s read more about how to do mix calibration yourself!
Don't know how to calibrate your own concrete mix? Read more here.
After doing the calibration, you should be ready to input the data into the platform now!
Now we have created a concrete mix in the database
Let's assign it to a project!
You can always add the calibration later if you're waiting for lab results or supplier information. Feel free to click Skip for now.
Step 1: Go to “Manage Project Concretes”
Step 2: Fill the pop-up box. Choose the correct project and concrete mix.
Let's assign your devices to your project!
It is very important that we assign the devices to the project you want to use them on, otherwise it will not work
Step 1: Go to 'Device Manager' and click 'Manage Project Devices'.
Welcome! This is where you can get an overview of all your devices.
Step 2: Fill out the pop-up box by choosing the project and the relevant devices.
Awesome! Now we are ready to move on to the Project menu!
Prepare casts and monitorings
Step 1: Go to 'Casts', then create your first cast by clicking on 'Add Casts'
This is where you can see real-time data!
Step 2: Fill out the pop-up box.
The concrete mix can always be added later!
Step 3: Create your monitorings by clicking on 'Add Monitoring'
Step 4: Fill out the pop-up box
- Monitoring Description: Give your monitoring a name
- Monitoring Type: Choose between temperature, maturity, and strength
- Note: If you can’t choose strength, then you haven’t added a concrete mix/maturity calibration
- Target: Flip the button to set a target
- Planned Device (Optional): Select the device from the dropdown
- Delayed start: Enter minutes to delay the start
- If you wish to create multiple monitorings with the same parameters (e.g., target, alarms etc.), check the Create another monitoring box at the bottom of the page.
- Click on Save changes
Good job! Now we are ready to install the device on-site!
Select the device you want to install:
Gaia 200
1-channel transmitter
Gaia 300
3-channel transmitter
Gateway
Mini Base Station
Now we are ready to start monitoring!
- Open the Maturix In-situ software - 'Project' - 'Casts'
- Locate your prepared monitorings
- Start the monitorings
- You can start the monitorings at any time and use the Data Editor to adjust the start time to fit with the time of pouring.
Do you want to set up alarms, targets or add ambient temperature?
This step is for more advanced features, but they are also easy to use and are very helpful. If it is not relevant for you, feel free to say no and go to the next step.
Let's set an alarm!
Do you want to receive notifications for important events?
Setting up alarms is the way to go!
Please note that to be able to receive alarms, you will need to be a user of the project.
Step 1: Go to 'Casts', then click on the name of the cast to go into the cast you want to add the alarm to, then click on 'Actions'
Step 2: Click on 'Add Alarms'
Step 3: Fill out the pop-up box
Let's set a target!
Do you want to know around what time your cast will reach X MPa?
A target can help you with that and more!
Step 1: Go to 'Casts'. Click into the cast, find the monitoring point you want to set a target for, then click on the 3 dots besides it
Step 2: Fill out the pop-up box by enabling the target option and select which kind of target you would like to set
Need to monitor the ambient temperature too?
No need to use another device/channel for that!
The ambient temperature is measured using a sensor inside the device.
So you can easily add the ambient temperature in your cast! Just go to 'Actions', then click on 'Add Ambient Temperature'
The device should be placed away from direct heat source to get the most accurate reading.
Follow the real-time results from anywhere!
- Open the Maturix In-situ software - 'Project' - 'Casts'
- Locate your cast
- See your real-time data in here!
Finished with your cast? Let's export your report!
- Open the Maturix In-situ software - 'Project' - 'Casts'
- Locate your cast
- Click on 'Export', pick which format you want the report in, then you will receive it in your email.
You’re all set 🎉
Your first project is ready and monitoring is up and running.
You can now follow results in real time, set alarms, and export reports whenever you need.
Write to [email protected] if you have any questions!
