Nova
Embeddable Maturix Sensor for Temperature and Strength Monitoring
Nova, the newest addition to our sensor lineup, is designed for wireless concrete temperature and strength monitoring. It’s fully embeddable in the concrete, making it quick to install and easy to use. Nova connects via Bluetooth® and is ideal for projects where simplicity matters most.

- Monitor in-place curing of your concrete, reduce the need for break tests, and remove formwork up to 50% faster.
- Quick and simple installation. Nova is fully embeddable in the concrete with no external wires. The plug-and-play setup makes it an easy choice for both small-scale builds and large infrastructure projects.
- On-site data access via Bluetooth®. Nova supports long-term storage of temperature and strength data. Connect using the free mobile app, available on iOS and Play Store, to get instant insights whenever you’re on site.
- Detailed cross-section monitoring. With two or three temperature measurement points, Nova provides all you need for accurate thermal documentation.

-
What differentiates Nova from Nova Split?
Nova has a single external sensor (30 cm cable), while Nova Split features two external sensors (1.5 m and 3 m cables).
-
What is the Nova sensor used for?
Monitoring concrete temperature, maturity, and strength within structures.
-
How long can Nova operate continuously?
Nova sensors operate continuously for over 150 days.
-
How does Nova differ from Gaia 300?
Nova sensors are fully embeddable, single-use sensors entirely placed within concrete. Gaia sensors are reusable, with only external thermocouples embedded.
-
How do I activate my Nova or Nova Split sensor?
Remove the cable tip(s); an LED indicator will blink to confirm activation.
-
Can Nova sensors be deactivated after activation?
Yes, by reinserting the cable tip(s) into the sensor and waiting 60 seconds for standby mode.
-
Do Nova sensors retain settings after deactivation?
Yes, the configuration remains stored even after deactivation.
-
How can I optimize Bluetooth signal strength?
Mount the sensor securely to reinforcement bars with the logo facing upwards, ensuring a concrete cover thickness of less than 5 cm.
-
Why is the Nova sensor not visible in the app?
Verify Bluetooth is enabled, the sensor is activated, and within range. Restart your device and the app if necessary.
-
What if the activation LED does not blink?
Reinsert cable tip(s) into the sensor for 60 seconds, then remove. If unresolved, contact Maturix support.
