This depends on the global Sigfox coverage. If the coverage at your job site is insufficient, you must install a Sigfox Gateway to receive data from the Maturix transmitters.

if you wish to use cellular or Ethernet, there’s no need for configuration—it’s ready to go as soon as you receive it.
