How to create alarms

Add an alarm

  1. Click on Casts in the menu
  2. Find the cast you want to add an alarm to and open it by clicking on the Cast Name
  3. Click on Actions in the top right corner
  4. Click on Add alarm in the drop-down menu
  5. Fill out the Create New Alarm pop-up box
    • Alarm Type: Choose the type of alarm you want to create
      • Temperature goes above …
      • Temperature goes below …
      • Temperature difference exceeds …
      • Strength exceeds …
      • Maturity exceeds …
      • Cable disconnected / No data for …
    • Alarm Value: Enter the value
    • Monitorings: Choose which monitorings the alarm type and alarm value should apply to
    • Users: Choose the users that should receive the alarm and whether it should be by email and/or SMS
      • If you do not see any users when trying to add an alarm, then it is because no users have been added to the project yet. Add users to the project and they will appear.
      • If you can’t choose SMS as an option, then this is because the user has not entered their mobile number doing user registration. The mobile number can be entered under User Settings.
  6. Click on Add Alarm to activate the alarm

Deactivate an alarm

  1. Click on Casts in the menu
  2. Find the cast you want to deactivate an alarm on and open it by clicking on the Cast Name
  3. Click on Actions in the top
  4. Click on Add alarm in the drop-down menu
  5. To deactivate an alarm, click on the toggle button next to the appropriate alarm to disable it
  6. Click on Close
