This simplified guide explains how to configure the Sigfox Nano Access Point 7 (NAP 7) to different connection modes and IP settings. A comprehensive Quick Start Guide Manual is linked at the bottom of the page. Please contact Maturix support if you have any questions.

The NAP is currently configured to connect via Ethernet (DHCP) and LTE (4G). It can also be configured to connect to your local Wi-Fi network or with a static IP.

1. To gain access to the web configuration of the NAP you will need a computer with an ethernet port, so you can connect to the NAPs LAN via the included ethernet cable.

  • LAN (ethernet), please plug in power to the NAP and insert the ethernet cable from the suitcase in the LAN port on your computer. Confirm that the computer is connected to a network via LAN, then proceed to configuration. If you cannot get access to the Web UI, please ensure that your ethernet adapter IP assignment setting is set as ā€˜Automatic (DHCP)ā€™.Ā (See page 10 of Quick Start Guide Manual)

Note that the network might show status ā€˜No internet connectionā€™ since it is not yet online.

2. Open the web browser of your device and connect to http://192.168.10.1:8899/ Username: rsadmin Password: rsadmin0000!!

3. Now you have access to the web configuration of the NAP. To change the connection modes, please navigate to the Internet Settings ā†’ WAN menu. Here you can set the primary and secondary connection method. If the primary connection fails, the device will switch to secondary mode until connection is restored. To configure the wired (ethernet) connection with a static IP address, see step 5. Remember to click ā€˜Applyā€™ whenever settings have been changed.

4. To configure the Wi-Fi settings to connect to your onsite Wi-Fi, please set either the primary or secondary WAN to WiFi (STA). Navigate to the Wi-Fi Settings ā†’ STA menu. Set ā€˜Enable STAā€™ to ā€˜ONā€™ and wait for the Site Survey in the bottom of the page to search for nearby networks.

  • Identify your network from the list and copy the SSID from the list to the SSID field.
  • Set Security Mode the same as the Security shown for your network in the list.
  • Set Encryption Type, it is shown together with the security protocol in the list, after the /-symbol. In the case of TKIPAES, try setting the Encryption Type as AES as it is more secure.
  • Enter the password for your Wi-Fi network and click ā€˜Applyā€™. The NAP will reboot and attempt to connect to your Wi-Fi, please allow 1-2 minutes for connection.
  • The connection is successful and the device is online once the CLD LED turns on.

5. If you want to set a static IP address when connecting by ethernet, open the WAN menu and set one of the connection modes to Wired (Static IP) and enter your preferred static IP address
